After a successful partnership on the project Čibuk 1, the largest wind farm in Serbia with an installed capacity of 158 MW, UAE Masdar and Finnish Taaleri Energia expanded their collaboration and established a joint venture Masdar Taaleri Generation (MTG), a development vehicle for renewable energy projects in Serbia and Montenegro, headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia. As an extension to the existing wind farm Čibuk 1, Masdar, Taaleri Energia, and the team in Serbia are developing Čibuk 2 wind farm, expected to start operations in 2026.

Masdar – Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, is a global leader in renewable energy and sustainable urban development. Their stated aim is to help maintain the leadership of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the global energy sector while supporting the diversification of its economy and energy sources.

Taaleri Energia is a Finnish-based wind and solar developer and fund manager. They have one of the largest dedicated renewable investment teams in Europe, which develops, invests in, and manages utility-scale wind and solar investments, primarily in Europe and the US.

The partnership brings together Masdar’s expertise in renewable energy technology and Taaleri Energia’s experience in project development and financing, creating a strong platform for sustainable growth.
